Your Event Ticket
Everyone participating in one of our events must hold a valid ticket for that event - at the race distance they intend to complete - and issued in their name with their associated personal details attached.
Your ticket secures access to your race bib - which you must wear whilst participating - and allows you to make other changes such as changing race distance, adding merchandise items or transferring your ticket to another person.

PURCHASE A TICKET
If you haven't already got a ticket for your desired event, the place to start is the Enter page of the event web site. If the event is currently open for entry, there'll be an ENTER button on the front page of the web site.
Important! Save a copy of your e-ticket from the confirmation screen when you finish.
MY TICKET DASHBOARD
Your Ticket Dashboard is the place to go to check on all of the details of your ticket to make sure they're just right. You'll also be able to make changes to your ticket here such as upgrade or downgrade of race distance or adding merch items. You can find a link to your ticket dashoard at the top of your eticket or via your Running Events account if you have one. If you're not sure where it is or how to get to it, use our Ticket Recovery function below and we'll send you a link.
ETICKET
If you like the security of a printed or PDF version of your ticket then your eticket is ideal. You can download it from Ticket Dashboard or find a link to it on your confirmation email. Although you don't need your eticket to collect your race number, it can be useful to have it around just in case there are any issues. Remember that - in most cases - your eticket will not show your 4-digit race number until race week, so you'll need to re-download it closer to the event to have it included.

can't find your ticket?
no worries ...
When you complete your ticket purchase, an email is normally sent from "system@runningevents.co.nz" with a subject line that includes the text "Transaction Confirmation". This email includes a link to each ticket purchased.
If you can't find the message and you're not able to access your event ticket, you can use the ticket recovery function below. You must enter your surname and date of birth *exactly* as they appear on the ticket as well as the last 4 digits of your mobile number. The system will send a link to your ticket by email or SMS.
Note: If you can't find your ticket in this way, get in touch and we'll help you out.
MAKING CHANGES
YOUR TICKET DASHBOARD ALLOWS YOU TO CHANGE DISTANCE, ADD MERCH OR EVEN TRANSFER TO ANOTHER PERSON.
START HERE: TICKET DASHBOARD
All change functions are accessed from the Ticket Dashboard. If you aren't sure where to find this, check out the instructions above, including a link to the online ticket recovery function.
Important! Many change functions have time limits on when they can be used, but no participant initiated changes are allowed on or after race day.
CHANGE DISTANCE
Over-committed or injured and need to tone it down? Or feeling super-human and want to step it up? You can change your race distance or move to the virtual event. Select:
Make Changes -> Race-to-Race Transfer
Important! There is no charge to change distance but you will have to pay the price difference if upgrading. There is no refund for downgrades. If your race bib has already been printed, you will still use it - even though it may have the old distance written on it, your results will correctly reflect the change.
TRANSFER TO ANOTHER PERSON
If you are no longer able to participate, you can transfer your ticket to another person free of charge. From your Ticket Dashboard, select:
Make Changes -> Person-to-Person Transfer
Important! After transferring your ticket to another person, previous eticket and dashboard links will no longer work. The new links will be sent to the new entrant (and they can use the Ticket Recovery function if the email goes astray).
ADD MERCH, ETC
You can select from a range of merchandise items - including our exclusive RUN MORE line - whilst purchasing your ticket. But if you opted not to and the FOMO sets in, you can always add these items later on (subject to availability). From your ticket dashboard, select:
Make Changes -> Add Items to Ticket
Important! We normally halt online merchandise sales during race week to allow time for packing.
UPDATE TEAM
Use this function to join a Team or change Teams. Select:
Make Changes -> Update Team Selection
You can join or switch teams by selecting your desired team from the popup. Enter a few letters from the team name to search and then select the team you want to join from the list.
Important! You may be prompted for a password if the team was created with one. Ask the team creator for help with this.
UPDATE QUESTION/ANSWER
Click on the "Questions" tab in the main page to see the list of questions available for this ticket. If editing is available, a blue edit icon will appear next to the question to allow you to make changes.
Important! Not all questions are available for update. If you need to change something that is unavailable, use the Contact Form to get in touch.
